An awesome group of women gathered for Valentine's Day at the Renaissance Center for our Monthly Women's Drum Circle.
Women know the heart, women feel the heartbeat. When women gather - the heartbeat is strong!
Six new drummers that evening, and the divine energy filled the room.
With Lynn leading a new rhythm - IBO - as part of Drumming Up Hope for Haiti - we were all soon entrained and feeling the beat together.
We know our energy was lifted up and will inspire all of us to remember our neighbors, suffering still from the devastating earthquake, and do what we can for the cause.
Rudell shared a poem she wrote and we drummed as she recited it over and over again until it radiated beyond us and entered the universe's frequency.
Even though Lynn had to leave a little early for her Valentine evening with hubby, we all stayed and continued with Call and Response, Drumming our own solo rhythms, and remembering to 'relax and get to know the drum' with the help of Michelle Van Etten. A wonderful group - awesome drumming -- and a perfect evening.
