Ain't He Sweet?

I wanna guy, just like the guy, that married dear ole mom!!!!!!!! (sing it)

and I got him!!! :)

Here is what my great hunk of a husband brought me home the other night - just for nothing -- really - nothing!

Okay, I'm not a great flower arranger - but these were so beautiful and matched my kitchen nicely.

Then he took me out to dinner on the ocean, but I didn't get a pix of the water that night. Darn. BUT, I can share with you this cute purse I carried ;) !

Have a nice Labor Day Weekend.

An Offer We Couldn't Refuse....

We were just a phone call away.......no twisting of our arm......no bribing us at all. When Frank's son called to see if we would like to meet them at the Casa Marina for a drink and dinner, we couldn't refuse. Was that a coincidence that Scott was wearing that T-Shirt??? :) - 'Who's Your Daddy?' -- There it is -- Father and Son!

Not seeing the family in a while, this was a special occasion and the location was the best.

We watched a wedding being performed AND we waved goodbye to 'Hurricane Bill the Bully,' as we looked out over our beautiful ocean and the bevy of surfers who were surfing til they couldn't feel their arms.

The Martini Bar at the Casa was
the place to be Saturday evening -- lots of people, lots of friends.

Scott's wife, Michelle, visited with Jim.

Lisa (Jim's girlfriend) was in heavy conversation otherwise I know she would have turned
and smiled for the camera!

Terry Parker alums gathered too. and...

Frank's grandkids tolerated all of us, but were delightful as usual. They were hungry, but we just couldn't leave the veranda and the beautiful evening breeze.

Is that beer they are drinking? No, no way!

Hard to complain when you get a sunset like this.......all in all a
very good night!

See you again soon!

Meeting the Boyfriend!

The First Meeting! The New Boyfriend! Always Tense! Always Exciting! Always a Wonder as to who my daughter has brought to the front door step this time!

Jenna did good! Sean joined her at our door for our first meeting after their month of dating and getting to know each other. Finally, it was our turn.

What started to be a casual dinner here with Frank cooking on the grill, turned into maybe we would do 'take out' so no one had to get stressed - ok, that would work, except - I changed my mind. How about eating at the restaurant instead of brining it home? Ok, that would work. Except I changed my mind. Ok - how about coming here and meeting us and then going over to the TPC Clubhouse. Ok, that would work. Well, it did!

We went. Had a blast. Ate a lot, listened to music and got to know each other.

Between Sean and Jenna and of course my thousand questions, poor Frank couldn't get a word in -- but gave his mighty laugh of approval often!

We like Sean. We hope Sean likes us. Good going Jenna!

A Plan Is A Plan!

Sometimes, when we make plans - we just have to stick to them no matter what!

I've always been of the mind that 'a plan' is like 'a rule' -- made to be changed or broken. But when the plan includes birthdays, kids, and grandkids, and Memorial Day -- there is no way out!

That was the case this last Memorial Day Weekend when our plan to go to Atlanta for my granddaughters birthday and a Memorial Day Cookout with the family was the focus of our month.
Who knew there would be 7 days of rain? Who knew we would head directly into the storm? Who knew? Not us!

We left Thursday to avoid traffic, and, we did. Traffic, but not the rain.
Our sidetrip to Savannah prior to the Atlanta trek turned into a defensive driving class for bad weather conditions. We were glad we had just purchased new tires!

The rain didn't matter that evening -- our dinner reservations at The Olde Pink House were all we needed to relax and begin the vacation.

The next morning, Savannah gave us a glimpse of the sun for a couple of hours and we took advantage of it.

We headed straight for Tybee Island for a big Breakfast Club breakfast and a peek at the ocean in between the raindrops.

I couldn't leave Savannah without achieving my goal: Stopping by my favorite store DC2 Design on Broughton.

With my new purse (Love Saves) and delightful SedaFrance candle (approved by Oprah) packaged up nicely -- we popped into the City Market for a little local flavor.
Then we took leave of the highways again, heading into the rain toward Atlanta.

Oh, whoa is me!
