You Can Teach an Old Dog ........

Sure enough......We proved it...... You 'can' teach an old dog new tricks.

A group of us, over 50 ( :-) ), clamored together at the beautiful Ocean Yoga Studio (http://www.oceanyoga.biz/) in Atlantic Beach turning it into a classroom for a class on Social Media Networks being taught by Richard Cordell. (richard@richardcordell.com)

In just a couple of hours, and after many questions, some confusion, fear, and anxiety, Richard was able to give us a basic overview of the most popular social media networks including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Blogging.

Now, all we need to do is begin putting what we learned into practice.........Yikes!

I've already been tinkering around with most of the media, but I wanted to support Frank's learning curve so he could upload my blog and say 'hi' to me on Facebook!!!!

I'm not sure he is convinced that this is what he wants or the way he wants to say 'HI' -- but 'old dogs do learn.' (Not that he is old or anything)

The rest of us suddenly have access to a whole new world. You may soon be receiving 'friend requests' from one or all of the group which included:

Mike and Sharon Qualls, Rick and Carolyn Drazien (Funky Shui Divas), Barbara King-Hall, Dorothy Dobbs, Tom and Maryanne Aycock, of course Richard and Kate Cordell (owner of the beautiful Ocean Yoga), and Frank and little ole me!

Richard will be teaching ongoing classes -- you may want to get up to date with what's happening by calling or email Richard (see below).

  1. Marilyn,

Thank you for blogging about the class. I wouldn't classify anyone as an 'old dog'. You were all vibrant, enthused and very quick learners.

    Yours,

    Richard
