A Drum Roll, Please!

When 100 women pick up a drum and begin to sync up their rhythms, the energy and power in the moment is transcendent.

That happened this past weekend at the IAMMOXYWOMEN Conference in St. Pete, Fl.

I thought just meeting Christine Stevens, the well-known international drum facilitator, would be stupendous. I was overjoyed at being a part of the Mahaffey Center's Drum Circle during this all day and evening conference/concert.

Christine is a commanding presence as she toys with the rhythms of the different instruments. She conducts the drummers as if they were one instrument. Christine's body language, engaging smile and energy build into a crescendo of rhytmic beat and song as if only one very loud and strong heartbeat was pounding.

Pow-er-ful stuff!
With guest performances by Faith Rivera, for one; speakers such as Linda Lidday, and over 100 wome exhibiting their talents, gifts, and passions, we find out what women are doing and how they are changing the world....such as: http://www.drumquest.com/; http://www.coachminx.com/; http://www.remo.com/; and many more.

Belly-dancers and amazing artists, such as Lori at http://www.lorisalisburygallery.com/.

Jean Harper, her passion, her staff (Susan Collins, for one) - did an excellent job putting this FIRST TIME EVER IAMMOXYWOMEN CONFERENCE together. Thank you, Jean!

Remember, in the age of aquarius.....the women take over the power, the children follow, and the men give it over. Be there.

I was moved beyond imagination to be a part of this incredible group of MoxyWomen on this NIGHT OF THE FULL MOON.

If you weren't there, then look for it next year, still in St. Pete. I understand they want to bring it to Jacksonville in the next few years, so be prepared. Stay tuned by signing up at: http://iammoxywomen.com/.

You can find Christine too at: http://www.ubdrumcircles.com/ and http://www.remo.com/
